About Me

Hello, my name is Jaymie. I am not one of those sappy women whose life goals and ambitions revolve around meeting Mr. Right, getting married, and making babies. But to be honest I have never been particularly good at relationships. The younger version of myself had hoped that I could get it right by now. But, I DIDNT!!!

I remain hopeful and would still like to meet a great guy that thinks the world of me and that I adore. I would still like to find my happily ever after.

I have decided to continue of the roller coaster of dating. I will go on at least one new date a month in an attempt to meet the right guy. If I don’t there will be consequences.

This challenge started in the month of August and will continue until one of two things happens a) I actually meet the right guy b) a string of terrible monthly dates makes me reconsider my stance on relationships and the idea of being the crazy cat lady becomes more appealing. Both possibilities will ensure endless humor.

Thank you for joining me on my adventure.

Ohh February

February is here.....again.  Which means that Valentines Day is here........again.   Valentines day is not my favorite.  I am not a jealous kind of person but I also don't enjoy having everyone else lovey dovey right in my face.  I remember specifically not enjoying it in high school.  It seemed like everyone else had that somebody special.  Girls caring flowers around from their boy toys and red and pink hearts everywhere.  Now I work at a high school and I don't imagine it is much different than back then.  There is one define similarity between Valentines Day when I was in high school and now.  Can you guess it?  Yep, I was in the land of singledom then and now.
There is one BIG saving grace for me this year.   On thing that will save me from all the flowers, balloons, candy, and silly teddy bears that will infiltrate the halls.  This year my students and I are going to this basketball tournament.  When my students won 2nd place last week they advanced to the finals.  So exciting.  We are taking 60 students to a high school in downtown for the finals.  A little stressful but WAY better than being bombarded with mushy gushy lovey dovey paraphernalia all day.

  3. Elizabeth I dont think "real dates" (without the aid of the internet) exist. Its a fallacy. Jaymie S your birthday is right around the corner and so is my half birthday.
I love our weird 6 month to the day age difference.
