About Me
Hello, my name is Jaymie. I am not one of those sappy women whose life goals and ambitions revolve around meeting Mr. Right, getting married, and making babies. But to be honest I have never been particularly good at relationships. The younger version of myself had hoped that I could get it right by now. But, I DIDNT!!!
I remain hopeful and would still like to meet a great guy that thinks the world of me and that I adore. I would still like to find my happily ever after.
I have decided to continue of the roller coaster of dating. I will go on at least one new date a month in an attempt to meet the right guy. If I don’t there will be consequences.
This challenge started in the month of August and will continue until one of two things happens a) I actually meet the right guy b) a string of terrible monthly dates makes me reconsider my stance on relationships and the idea of being the crazy cat lady becomes more appealing. Both possibilities will ensure endless humor.
Thank you for joining me on my adventure.

Chick gym
Last
weekend I went to a friend’s Tae kwon do class. The class ranged in age and ability but was pretty evenly
split by gender. There was a cute
married couple, a father and son, and a mix of other individual people
including ONE attractive man that looked about mid 30’s. We made eye contact and he smiled. During one kicking exercise, he and his
sparing partner got a little to close to where I was sitting. With all the loud yelling of “ Hhaa”,
it kind of freaked me out and I screamed like a girl. He playfully laughed.
I
started thinking; maybe my choice of gyms is hurting my dating life.
I go
to a chick gym. My chick gym looks
like pink exploded. It is ultra
feminine and girly. I love it. I take silly pole dancing classes. My upper body strength still sucks but
it is definitely getting better. I
also take hula hoop classes.
Remember how easy it was to keep that circular hoop of fun up as a kid…….its
not easy now. I spend most
of the class picking my hoop up off the floor. Other more experienced people can do crazy tricks with
it. It is really fun and great
workout.
The
only people at my gym are chicks.
So maybe my choice of gyms is hurting my dating life. In a more coed setting I would at least
meet more guys. I might not want
to date them but guys do know other guys.
I do
know that Tae Kwon Do is not for me.
There is a lot of yelling going on. Some people yell really funny sounds when they punch/kick. I
am kind of a smart ass. I would
want to yell, “hazaa” which is funny to me but could be seen as disrespectful.
The
guy who ran the class was pretty funny.
In the beginning of class everyone was quietly stretching. He just talked. It is his forum to rant and say
anything. He did ask a few
questions but it was a pretty one sided conversation. Very few people respond. I wanted to respond while
sitting watching. If I was in the
class I think I would get myself in trouble. They did play an exciting game of group Dodgeball at the
end. It looked fun but I don’t really
like balls being thrown at my face.
I think I will stick with my chick gym.
